When setting up your business profile, you are going to enter information in 3 Easy Steps. We will take from Basic business Information to building your own Online Showcases. (Scroll Down For Step 1)
Step 1: Business Details Below
In the Business Name Field, you will see that you can create, claim or add your business. To find out of your business is in our database, type in the name of the business as it appears on other 3rd party sites on the Internet. If it does not self-populate This means you need to the legal name and press tab on your keyboard or enter on your mobile phone.
When selecting a category make sure it is a fit for your business because you will not be able to change it in the future. If changing it is business critical, then you will have to setup a new account and retire the original one.
Business Contact Details
This is a very rudimentary section, but we understand sometimes that Professionals use their home address for their business listings. We suggest inputting the address that your business is licensed under so that there is no confusion when a potential is researching your services.
We give you 2 options for business hours. when choosing please know that the HomeGravy System will only call or text you within the business hours you set. Example:If you set to 24HR x 7, the set system will reach out during all hours to deliver phone or text leads.
These pictures make up the front facing gallery for your profile. We suggest adding pictures that give your potential clients a glimpse of who you are and what you do. Even if you are focused on one trade, you want the public to be able to relate to you as a person and professional.
These could be pictures of:
- Before, After and Finished Job
- The family that supports you
- Your location or building
- Helping out in the community
- Equipment you use to get the job done.
Social Media would not be what it is without photos, so get creative and tell your story with this exclusive gallery. (In Step 3 we give another section to show off projects that you have completed for clients.)
Besure to use the highest resolution file that you have. You have worked hard to start or build your brand and we want to help you show it off.
A banner is not required for your profile, but we strongly suggest using one. HomeGravy users spend twice the amount of time on profiles with banners than those without. If you do not have one and would like to get one created, we suggest using a freelancer to make you one. There are sites that can help you with this like Design Crowd, Fiverr or Upwork.
Tags are a great way to help visitors find your page. We give you 5 keywords opportunities to assist HomeGravy Users to easily find your profile when they are searching for professionals. Without tags, your profile will be harder to find using our dynamic search function.
Step 2: Additional information
Enter a numeric response for "Years of Operation" and in the "Areas Served", you can enter as many as you like as long as they are separated by a comma. Only enter a license number if you are truly licensed.
We writing about your business, provide as much detail and context as you can. Many times potential clients will disqualify professional before they contact them because another business listing has more information online allowing them to make more of an educated choice of who they will trust to the task.
Social Media Linking
Allowing existing and potential clients to connect with you on social media gives them to the option to choose the medium they wish to choose to communicate with or support your company. Please enter the web addresses for your "Business" social networks you have established.
Search Engine Optimization

As a professional, you may belong to a number of associations.You can upload your own logo for these or we provide a default icon for each associations. Associations show potential clients that you are connected within your area of expertise and the contributions you've made to your craft.
Step 3: Showcases
You have put the work in and created some very unique home offerings, repairs, upgrades, additions, landscapes in your category and need a place to build a professional portfolio. HomeGravy Showcases give you a professional edge.
